Share Market - Known as Sharebazar in Hindi
There are two types of markets, one is primary market where the companies come out public offers which is also known as initial public offer or in short IPO. In India companies get the approval from Security Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and have tie up with registrars to handle the applications by the public. Once the shares gets listed in the trading exchanges like National Stock Exchange (NSE) or Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) those who are interested may buy the shares in the market, this type of trading market is known as Secondary Market. One can also use the intraday trading facility and square off positions can be done on the same day. But some shares can not be squared off on the same day and delivery has to be taken. Normal delivery period is T+1 day , i.e., the day after trade has taken place the share will be delivered to the customer's account. The shares are held in an electronic form and contract note is sent by email at the end of the day by the depository. This type of account is known as DP account. Now, with the internet availability being high, people can do a online trading by opening account with companies like icicidirect.com, sharekhan.com, reliancemoney.com, indiainfoline.com, indiabulls.com etc., The orders can also be placed after the trading hours through their website for the next trading session. Normal Stock Exchange timings are from 09.55 a.m to 3.30 p.m. Sometimes in case of sun outage trading session may get a break and resume after a gap of 45 minutes. Other than cash or delivery trading there are also future and option trading which is a contract based trading. Now people earn more with commodity trading, a big boom is expected on commodity trading volume. To earn in Sharebazar or Sharemarket, one has to learn at least the basics or he can take a guidance from a sharebroker. Without knowing the implications one should not jump to NIFTY trading, short selling etc., We must realize that sharemarket is mostly speculative though all kind of technical chart and predictions are out there. Even great fund managers have confusions when sensex crosses 15,000 points, on whether further bull action will be there or market will head for a correction.
